Frequently Asked Questions

Who can participate?

Anyone age 13 or older may create a profile, although those under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian already signed up in our database in order to link their account with their parents.

If you would like to participate in in-person market research, please take a moment to ensure that you live within driving distance to one of our facilities. Our national database is primarily for online research only, although sometimes we do conduct larger automotive clinics across the nation.

Adler Weiner Research is committed to providing equal research opportunities for all. We do not discriminate against anyone on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or any other legally protected status. We are dedicated to offering opportunities that are diverse and inclusive. We believe that our commitment to this makes us a stronger and more effective organization in the market research industry and we welcome individuals from all backgrounds to join our panel.

How do I join?

Please fill out our online sign up to become a participant. We invite your friends and family members to join as well!

Am I paid for participating?

Absolutely! We provide financial compensation to the individuals that participate in qualitative research studies.  Each project has a predetermined honorarium that may be received as cash, checks, gift cards, prepaid debit cards, or even products. This incentive is provided to you from our end client as compensation for sharing your opinions and experiences regarding the products and services under discussion. You will always be advised of the incentive type and amount before you commit to any project.

How long will it take to join?

It will take only a few minutes to become a participant. You will be asked to provide some basic information that will help us match your profile to the numerous research projects we conduct. The more information you provide the better we can match you up with a project that fits you. When we find a project that matches your profile we will contact you either by email or phone to see if you qualify.

How do I update or Manage my personal information?

You may update your personal information by logging into your account. We encourage you to review your data and make any changes that might help us match you with projects. Did you get a new car in the last year or a new job? We want to know!

What are my responsibilities as a focus group participant?

Please arrive on time with a positive attitude. Focus Groups are fun, and we want you to enjoyyour experience with us. Know that if you arrive late for your group, you may not be admitted into the study or be compensated. If you need to cancel for any reason, we ask that you contact either your recruiter directly, or the front desk of the facility you are scheduled to attend. We understand circumstances may cause a change in plans, but if you let us know in advance, we appreciate the time to recruit another interested participant. And most importantly, be honest and truthful when answering questions about yourself and your experiences. There is no wrong answer!

How do I Unsubscribe?

Each email we send contains an unsubscribe option, or you may click HERE.

Why didn’t I qualify?

Each client has diverse research needs, which means for every project, there is a specific subset of individuals that we need to find. We will email a survey to the target audience for each project. If your survey answers are a match one of our recruiters will call you to complete the screening process. If the answers you provide during the telephone screening qualify you for the project, then we invite you to join us for that focus group or interview. Frequently though, you may not be a match for research. As much as we would like to invite everyone to join us every time, our job is to find the client’s target. Fortunately, if you are not the target for this one, you will most likely be a match for future research.

Additionally, we frequently have many more potential participants respond than are needed and we fill the groups quickly. We advise that you call us back or email a response as quickly as possible to allow for the greatest possibility of participation.

I DO A LOT OF SURVEYS ONLINE. WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THAT DATA?

The data we collect in advance of market research focus groups via online surveys is only used to screen participants to see if they qualify for that particular research.  Adler Weiner doesn’t use the data any other way and we do not share it with our clients.  Once the project is complete we delete the survey and all responses.

Why am I not receiving calls or emails?

— You may have recently participated, which would preclude you from any immediate projects.

— Your information may not be up-to-date; if this is the case, please log in and update your contact information.

— Many email and Internet Service Providers have SPAM protection in place to ensure you receive information from only trusted contacts. If our emails are going into your SPAM folder, please add us to your list of trusted contacts.

I never signed up so why did I receive an email from you?

If you are not in our database and have received an email from Adler Weiner, then your contact information was provided to us by a client because you have chosen to opt-in to receive their marketing or email campaigns. This usually means you are their customer and they want to talk to you about their product or service. We may not be able to disclose who they are over the phone, but if you are qualified for the research you will likely find out during the focus group or interview who the sponsor was. If you don’t want to be contacted for research, you may choose to opt-out by replying "unsubscribe" to the email. We relay that information back to the client that provided us with your information.

Will you share my information with other companies?
